The Core Competencies are sets of intellectual, personal, and social emotional proficiencies that all students need in order to engage in deep, lifelong learning. These proficiencies are intentionally developed during GoingPLACES in order to help students engage in life-long, in-depth learning.

HPE

Health & Physical Education Teacher (maternity leave)

If selected the successful candidate will need to be comfortable teaching HPE from K-9 and planning intramurals.   At Cascade we seek to consider and value each student as an individual.  Approaching students and curriculum development from a strengths-based mindset is an asset. Middle School Teacher

Our middle school program features place-based learning. Once a week, rain or shine, students learn outside the classroom exploring local parks, forests, mountains and waterways.

Candidates should be excited to engage in collaboratively leading their students in this cross-graded program.

Intermediate Teacher

At Cascade we seek to consider and value each student as an individual.  Approaching students and curriculum development from a strengths-based mindset is an asset. Cascade is developing an instructional culture focused around local place-based learning opportunities.  Candidates should be interested in including learning opportunities outside the classroom on the school grounds or off site.  A successful candidate will have knowledge of effective strategies for a balanced numeracy and literacy program.
